Infographics

For our fourth project we are create an “info-graphic” poster that communicates at least two types of collected data in a way that is visually engaging and legible. Here is a link to some of the ideas that I am using for inspiration:

Plan for project 2.

For project two we are going to be creating letters from our name out of things you can find either around the house or outside.  Here is the plan for my name and what the letters are going to be made out of.  The type of font that I will be using is Gill Sans Bold.  In order to make this easier you would need to print out the letter and use it as a stencil for tracing.
J- Cut out of a shoe box.  All you need to do is trace the letter you wish to cut out and then trace that onto the shoe box and using an exacto knife cut it out.
E-Carved from napkins.  All you have to do with this is you once again print out a stencil of the letter and trace that onto a pile of napkins.  To make it look more fancy with the napkins, you can spread them out into a fan type look.  Using an exacto knife you can then carve out the letter.
S- created from nail polish.  All you need is the color nail polish you would like to use and then paint it onto your nails.  If that seems to be to hard, then you can just paint it onto a piece of paper and use the nail polish bottles for scenery.
S- made out of chocolate: Trace the letter onto a piece of chocolate with either a knife or something sharp. then just cut it out of the chocolate.
I- made from cardboard box:  Trace the letter onto a piece of cardboard twice.  Then cut that out and use the other left over pieces of cardboard to form the other two sides of the letter.  You can either glue or tape them together to form a cubed look letter.  For the dot to the "i" you can just simply take a toilet paper roll and cut that to the correct height of your body for the "i" and then use left over cardboard to finish up the dot.  You can place this with other cardboard pieces or place where you so desire.
C- formed from paper clips:  All you need to do for this is just take a whole bunch of paper clips and form them to the letter.  It is easiest if you have the stencil and trace onto the scene that you will be having.
A- Cut out from a washcloth:  Trace the letter onto an old washcloth that you do not need anymore and then using preferrably sewing scissors cut out the letter.  Sewing scissors are best for fabric. For the scenery you can place in dirty laugndry or with other towels.
G- Make with magnets:  Can take either a roll of magnets or random magnets and place them on a fridge in the shape of the letter.  In order to make it look a lot like the letter some cutting may be needed.
I- Made onto Jenga pieces.  Take a sheet of paper and trace the letter you wish to use.  Then using an exacto knife cut out the letter from the piece of paper.  Once you are done with that, take a flashlight and the Jenga game and shine the flashlight through the letter so it is shown onto the game.
E- Carved out of playing cards.  Take a stack of cards and then take about seven or so cards out the the deck.  Form them into a fan and tape the back of it together so that way they will stay together when you are cutting the letter out.  Next trace the letter onto the cards and then carve them out with an exacto knfe.
R- Make from a trash bag.   cut the letter out of the bag and put it with trash for the scene.
S- Cut out of a Kleenex.  Trace the letter out of a kleenex, cut it out, and then put back into box for scenery.
E- Cut out from a puzzle.  Put the puzzle together, then glue it together to make it more easier to cut out. Then you trace your letter onto the puzzle and cut it out.

This may change depending on if I come up with better ideas, but this is what is going to be worked on.
